| I am just interested in thorghts at throwing at 19s, I have had 100 darts at 20, (95) was the best, so I had a try at the 19s, 100 darts for (107), so is it any logic, except to here 180, or do players often shoot at 19s. I have found after a lot of games the darts get heavy. So 19s are easy. Any interest in 19s. |

| If your better at 19's than 20's then stick to them if you prefer. I played against Fox a few month ago and could barely hit the single 20's, when I switched to the 19's I was hitting a lot of T19's.
I think years ago it was common for a lot of pub players to go for the 19's instead. |

| When I started to throw many moons ago, most players would throw 19's, think since they shorten the throwing distance from 9ft to 7 9 1/4, a lot changed to the top of the board. A chalkers nightmare a bad 19 thrower, lol. |

| don't know if you already play it or not but cricket is great practice on the higher numbers , then when you're playing 501 and having a rough patch on the twenties to are confident enough to switch to 19's 18's etc. best to score higher on another number than to keep getting 26's |

| I actually threw a whole leg of 501 at 19's last week because I was spraying every where at the 20's. I managed back to back 133's and won the leg.
I then went back to the 20's and started hitting them. |

| I use 19's when on 303, 126 or 97 the rest of the time I use 18's as my cover shot but throw at 20 for the majority of my darts. |

| 19's have saved me more than once. especially good in tournaments when you are getting a little bit tired. As well as Big Guns suggestions if you shoot 19's well then 164, 154, 150, 146, 105 are good numbers to add to your finishing combos. Best ever leg of darts (12) was shooting 19's: 133-171-133-64(8-16-D20) |

| I practice both 20's and 19's alot. My pappa was a 20 thrower and mother was a 19 thrower so I was always told to try both. 19's can be a saviour if you have put the practice in and the 20's have deserted you in a game. To add to some of the suggested routes for checkouts using 19's, when on 138 I go the 19's route |

| Short answer here is that you have to be able to hit both with consistency. Practice on both and stop thinking about which is better. Once you can hit both regualrly then you can decide what you favourite is.
Always used to be called an old mans part of the Board (19s)!!!! If you like d11 then you really are in the old mans part of the board!!! no idea why that seems to be the case though.
20's are the way to go though, how many pros regualrly start off at 19s? I agree with Big Gun though...when throwing for 19s at say 303 etc. |

| You can tell there are a lot of Brits here. I practice hitting the 19 in case I lose the diddle in cricket. |

| For me, I can hit 19's 17's and 15's way more consistently than 20's when on triples. I think its because I didn't start seriously practicing cricket until I was already seasoned so alot of the bad habits on 20 aren't there for me on other triples. 20's aren't the end all be all. 'course if you get good enough to t20 t19 then start working on the bull lol |

| I usually throw at 19's cause i feel more better there then the 20's, i don't know if it's just a matter of stance or my arm. |

| throwing at 20 will always be easier imo cuz the bull sits on the same vertical plane. also, due to the fact the trebles are thin arcs, it's easier to miss if your shots go left/right as opposed to the T20. |

| I usually shot at 19 instead of 20 cause I for me it's more easy and if you shot bad you can do some few more points (29 instead of 26) |
