| I see some interesting new rules. Looks like there might be problems with other vendors? The weight limit is still the same though. Dart has to weigh less than 25 grams. That should be inviting to players in the UK and France. See all new rules here ---->>>> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| only change i see is it went from 701/cricket/701/cricket/choice to 701/cricket/cricket/701/choice (to copy the japan tour i assume)
and obviously the inclusion of the french rules now they have a france stage
other board manufacturer employees (phoenix/arachnid etc) have always been "subject to exclusion". same rules is on every manufacturer tournament |

| Thats the rule that kept Fatum out for 2011 or most of 2012. He was sponsored by Trinidad who are tied up with Phoenix. |

Yep. That's what I was getting at. Dartslive is keeping the Phoenix sponsored players away. Same for Johnny K. |

| Fatum ended up dropping Trinidad as a sponsor. |

| It's not so much being sponsored its them being employees. Only "dartslive" player banned from other events is lim and Kirchner because they are employees. The rest are just official players. Johnny k is an employee of Phoenix.
It's a silly rule but would you want a Nike employee walking around an Adidas factory? |

I noticed that too. Sadly, THE WORLD did not adopt a 25/50 split bull format like the Japanese Pro Tour. I hope that some day they will. - nnj wrote:

That is correct. Other board manufacturers have a similar rule. Long ago, Arachnid did not let Dave Kelly and Paul Lim play in Bullshooter events when they became affiliated with Medalist. In 2012, Arachnid asked Scott Kirchner to exit the hall at the Bullshooter World Championships in Chicago due to his status with Dartslive....and Scott was only there to 'watch' his friends and family play....he was not playing....yet he was not allowed to stay. Companies have a right to make their own rules which exclude players with certain affiliations. I just wish it wasn't this way. If only 1 company dropped this rule, I would hope that others would follow suit or risk looking like the bad guy. |

| I think the exclusion of players from other board makers stables is ridiculous. No company can ever claim to have a true world champ if not all of the best players can participate. |

| Understandable I suppose, but silly nonetheless.
Imagine Winmau, Nodor, Puma, Unicorn, etc steel tip players being banned from a tournament due to affiliation with another board manufacturer. |
