has anyone else tried to have old recorded tv dart match on and played aganst who evers playing as practise
as you have that pause between throws but when you practise alone you just keep throwing
i did this years ago just whant to know if this is a good practise routine

No I've never tried it, but I will most certainly give it a go, I like the idea!!!

I watched the women's BDO final a few years back ( having recorded it first ) and thought the quality was very poor......So I decided to hit the board while the match was on and see if I could give them women a run for their money. I was well and truly beat . They might not have been playing as well as they could but they were still averaging 70ish.

That was the one and only time I've tried it.

Needless to say I won't be putting a dress on and trying my hand on the women's tour lol

I used to do this when I was an young player (14) as my board was in the hall way and I could see our TV that was in the front room as they were called back in the day. I beat Leighton Rees playing like that throwing as his opponent threw and using my scores. I found it helpful back in the day. So glad someone else has tried it. I don't think I would do that now just practice myself and look to go out in 12 to 20 darts each throw.

bigshow it might be the reason your not better then you are not wearing a dress i just thought id put that out there lol

I'll stick to pub level mate. I just don't have the legs to pull of a dress.

MUST SCRUB BRAIN!!!!!

I tried it years ago with a tape of the taylor vs gregory lakeside final. Had some of the prelim matches on that tape. Needless to say, I got flogged.
