My mate has just been given a set of Jocky Wilson darts, they are the original ones. Jocky give him to his dad in the early eighties. What he wants to do is put the original stems and flights on them and frame them. I think Jocky's original set up was short white canes and standard white autograph flights. Now someone has said Jocky started out throwing pear drop flights. Any help will be gratefully received.

I'd guess Jocky, like the players today have a little play about with their set up.

Do you have a pic of them Rab?

I think I have some Jocky white pears, not sure if they are originals though.

I was told by someone who played with Jocky that he first used Leighton Rees darts, dont know if its true though

Kites came later. That video was from the late 80's. He used standard in the early 80's.

Darts on the left Jocky's Originals and the darts on the right is the ones he changed to.

Nice looking arrows the originals - I've got some of the tartan flights in pear shape and wouldn't mind a set in standard shape as well lol

Nice Stuart, they look similar to the darts on the right, funny he was still using the same flights. The darts on the left was his orignals thrown by him, would love to get my hands on them but my mate is a die hard Jocky fan and would not part with them. He wants to clean them up and told him not to touch them what do you think?

I wouldn't touch them Rab. No to the cleaning. I'd leave them as is.

Also, I've seen other people replace points on vintage, rare darts.

All original is better imo.

Thanks all for your help, think the set up was short canes and BDO standards.

They were definitely BDO flights in that last clip - and they looked like short stems as well.
