I am so angry with Target over this and feel that I have been unfairly treated.
I have put the darts on Ebay now as this is the only way I can recoup some of my loss on these darts. Looks like i will be going down the Custom route now as I will not buy any more from Target given my recent experiences. This is a real shame for me as I held them in such high regard too. On the Plus side your flights are awesome so I will still be using those so things are not all bad.
Thanks for trying Rob but this one was not a good result for the consumer, so a thumbs down from me on the Carrera's. either way, I think Target should step up and give you a refund. These are the kinds of things which make a customer a lifetime customer. obviously they don't care enough, and would rather have you deal w/ the retailer. Target, as they say in poker it's tough to remember all the big pots you've won, but everyone remembers their bad beats. It's unfortunate that I now associate Target w/ this specific bad beat. |

| Target won't be able to give you a refund as you didn't buy them from there. It would be pure darts who you would have to convince in this. I know that the barrel is their fault but the refund isnt up to them and would have to go down the pure darts route.
It's a shame really as I know this has put people off the carrera range and stopping people from buying them because of this issue |

| Nothing in this world is 100% - I however find that member Big Gun (Kevin) who is well known and an accomplished player who is respected by many should be offered his money back and or a choice of a different arrow. Now that's my personal opinion. I have always held Target a cut above the other Dart makers so am waiting for the final outcome with hopes that this is settled in the consumers favor.

| Hi all,
Kev - we are very sorry that you do not agree with this outcome. We are an ISO registered company and take any customer complaint we have incredibly seriously and always instigate the correct procedure for a great customer service company.
Carrera has been widely successful and at the time of launch for the second set of models, we received your complaint - the first complaint we've had of this nature regarding Carrera.
We asked you to send your darts in so they could be looked at - three key members of staff here then individually examined your darts and all came to the same conclusion that there was no fault with the barrel.
We stand by our Lifetime Barrel Guarantee - but if there is no fault with the barrel then we can't replace a set of darts if there's nothing physically wrong with them.
You didn't accept this outcome - so we stated if you were still unhappy with the dart that you could return them to the retailer you bought them from (which is your consumer right).
We have an ethos to treat all of our customers the way we'd expect to be treated ourselves and always strive to go the extra mile when there is a fault with our product.
Hi Murphy180 -
We are further exploring the STORM range. Scott Rand's dart (Chrome finish) has proved that STORM works well in another finish - it is something we've considered and will continue to do so as we plan future products.
Hope this helps.

Stated like that, it's in your benefit to exchange the dart simply for peace of mind for Target, and a happier customer. Given what you said, you won't exchange a dart if it's identical to a new one (nothing physically wrong). What about wear? How do your account for that? What's the threshold when your manufacturing tolerances become "customer wear and tear?" .005" If you guys do multiple batch runs for production, perhaps a different batch would cure the bug you guys couldn't find physically. Just throwing all this out there... has me curious of whom it takes for you guys to fulfill such a request. Perhaps this panned out cause it's discussed in a public forum, but who knows. |

| Mine were definitely faulty. I have been around long enough to know when something is not right and I'm not one to make things up for a freebie. I am very surprised at Target and I never even got a response to my letter that you said I would get. This is poor customer service to be fair, and I for one expected a little better service. Also how were Pure darts going to give me a refund if you say the darts are fine as they would have only sent them back to you for you to tell them the same. This was their argument and it would have meant they were out of pocket, but as it happens it's only me that's down £84.00. All I will say is Lifetime Warranty is nothing more than false words as it only stands if you snap a barrel and I doubt that will ever happen in my or anyone else's lifetime on this forum so Target are safe there with that statement. |

Hi - years of market research show us that lighter weight darts are not extremely popular. However, recently there has been a growing demand for the lighter dart and it is something we have taken into consideration. |
