Is anyone a member of the performance darts center online? I was looking at a set of darts on their website and learned they offer a yearly membership allowing access to a variety of training and performance improvement instruction. They want about 25 pounds per year for their services. Is there any merit to what they offer and is it worth the price of admission?

I have read and used George Silberzhan's book and "flight school" instructional techniques with success. George provides excellent information via email to those involved in flight school and the only cost I have incurred is the price of his fine book.

Hey Deadeye,

Grover Beach eh? Never heard of them until you mentioned it. Maybe you can give them a go and let me know on Thursday night how it works out.

They have been around a while now, I think they come from some university originally in sports science but they do a good job I have heard especially when they analyse your throw with video footage.

I am currently working with these guys as a tester for some of their darts. I have written a review on their High Performance darts and I am currently testing some more for their grip and have a few other ideas in the pipeline for the next 12 months. I have known Paul Gillings for a few years now, since I started playing County Darts and they were at the matches using their Video Analysis equipment to analyse the players throw. He is a qualified Sports Performance Analyst and mad about darts! He has a Masters degree from the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff (UWIC) in the Performance Analysis of Sport and also has a degree in Football Studies from Southampton Solent University.

The football studies degree covered a range of subjects including, coaching, nutrition, health and fitness and sports psychology. Paul has worked with AFC Bournemouth Centre of Excellence, Gloucestershire County Cricket Club and Bath City Football Club. More recently he has been working with Pro Anthony Urmston-Toft and researching areas that can help dart players of all standards to improve.

Andrew Humphrey started throwing darts about thirty years ago. he hit his first 180 when he was seven or eight. He started playing super league in about 1990 for Lincolnshire and has played county darts for a few years and enjoyed a season in the premiership.

Sports Science

Several years ago he was keen to have a complete career change and decided to go back to College and University to pursue an occupation that he was going to be passionate about. Andrew embarked on a Sport and Exercise Science course (FDSc) which he passed. He then followed this up with a BSc in the same discipline.

The course involved many hours honing coaching skills, analysing sporting techniques, sports injuries, injury prevention, and intervention strategies to improve performance. Now through the Darts Coaching website and our performance improvement site the Darts Performance Centre Andrew is able to bring his knowledge of sports science to the sport that he loves.

I have to say that I have every belief in these guys as they know their stuff and for £25-00 a year I think it's a bargain for all the expert advice and knowledge they will share with you. I currently play with their darts and feel they are of excellent quality and would happily put my reputation on the line and stand by The Darts Performance Centre and all it signifies.

They have a fast turn around on goods purchased, competitively priced and are extremely professional in all aspects of their job, I can't speak highly enough of them. I hope to be doing more work with them over the next 12 months so watch this space for more of my write ups and reviews.

I look foward to see a few more reviews from you. soon I hope.
I am still on the lookout for my last set. So I take all that I read and learn.
Too hopefully find the dart that is for me.
