| Evening all Heres one for you, im doing the usual sunday night change my dart routine Dont know why I mess about so much with the set ups and weight but I do, and yes I know its not good for me and its spoiling my development but I truly believe that I still haven't found the best dart for me. Anyway, as the post is entitled I have this evening discovered a set up where I have hit my highest dartpro average over 60 darts, my trouble is that the set up and dart is not the best looking, in fact it seems ugly and I dont really want to take them out in public so being as stupid and shallow as I am ive put them back in the cupboard and taken out a sexy looking set. Just me or is it a man thing? If I can work it out ill post a pics of ugly and sexy dart side by side |

| What darts are you calling ugly - is it a set you've bought off of getagrip, as he definitely has some real ugly ones in his collection that would be difficult to beat (I'm sure Mac would agree with me on this lol).
In all honesty, if they work for you then I can't see the problem. If you feel embarrassed about being seen out with them then I'm sure there must be a way to sex them up for you. And yes, I am a dart tart lol. |

| My personal first rule of selecting your ideal dart is that you must like the look of it, 2nd rule is that it should feel right, then and only then would I put time in with the said set of darts as you have already eliminated 2 of the many, many negatives that can cause you to fall out with a certain set of darts. So if you like the look of your dart, like your flights, the dart feels right in your hand then you can concentrate on the rest of your game, you can never blame a bad day on the oche because your darts look naff Just my opinion but I would only play with a set I liked the look of and that felt comfortable to hold. |

| It`s all about the feel for me. I`d throw with rusty nails if I thought it would help me improve.
You could surely tart them up a bit when fancy stems and flights, maybe a new set of points. |

| The darts do the talking mate. Doesn't matter if they look ugly. If you could beat a pro with them, you would use them all the time.
I have never worried about what my darts look like, only how they felt in my hand and how I played with them. |

| I guess the ugliness or prettiness of a dart depends on a person. I would use an 'ugly' dart as long as it works for me. Personally, I find the Target Carrera line darts ugly. The pixel points are still weird for me, but my opinion may change over time. But I wouldn't mind using them if someone gave a set. |
