| It is true Winmau. As well as the Patrick Chaplin mentions on his site and in one of his newsletters, I also remember reading about it years ago as well.
I've also seen a clip of Bob Anderson hitting several max's on the trot as well during an exbo - I think he was playing from 801 or 901 with his opponent playing from 501 - and Anderson still won by miles. |

| Yes, I've seen what Patrick has said.
But he is simply passing along information as to what others have heard.
If it is indeed true, it would be the single greatest feat ever performed in darts.
Yet, it's not talked about very much, if at all.
There must be a reason for that.
Makes for good research though. |

| Haven't been able to throw for a couple of days but I'll try and give this a go tonight or tomorrow - I reckon around the 30-40 dart mark for me as well lol.
Nice section in the middle there Jimbo |

| I scrapped a couple of games before the 2 I have on there. I started with 140 the followed with 3 or 4 terrible walks, so I abandoned those ones.
The first go on there was a 45 darter. I almost packed up and went inside. Not a very good practice session today. |

| Had 3 goes at this, best score was 43 with a 92 finish (T20,D16), don't see me beating that TBH. |

| Had a few games of this earlier - can't remember the actual scores but the best two games were 32 and 33 darts - well pleased with those as I haven't picked up my darts for a few days |

Jocky Wilson 19 dart's sorta makes phills 2 9 darters pale Alan Glazier did a 17 dart 1001 in 1977 at The Crown pub in Wetherby. Although it was witnessed by several people it didn't count as a record because it was not achieved in an official match.
Makes Jocky's 19 darter pale as well. 180 180 180 180 180 101 out in 2? I'm gonna go ahead and call bs on this one.
Theres an old boy local to where i used to live who told me that he played glazier, also local, in an exbo. Glazier finished 6, d1 d1 d1. Also I used to play league with alans son mark. I'm sure he told me something similar to alans feat above. |

| Ok guys, as this was a last minute challenge that has turned into an interesting thread I will keep it as an open challenge if everyone is ok with that.
I will Edit the first post later on to avoid any confusion and to inform everyone that this will be an on going open challenge 'The 1001 Challenge'.
Cheers |

| OK, edited the original post and this will now run as 'The 1001 Challenge'. I must congratulate Hatrick who won the challenge for this week with a fantastic score of 26 just pipping Winmau by a single dart. I have made a note of this on the original post. So, will anyone beat 26 darts? |

| I think 26 will stay on top for some time.
Unless we get someone named Jackpot, Power, King, or Ando to sign up.

| Just had a few goes of this, and after a couple of strangely awful games, I improved to a best of 34. Will be sticking at this one though in the upcoming days! |

| I read an old interview...I'm thinking it was Leighton Rees, that talked about Alan and his wife making up the story for publicity. When I get some free time I'll try and look it up. |

I knew that crap wasn't true at all. It would of been the greatest feat ever.
Thanks for finding that. |
