| Instead of making a new thread for every dart thought that crosses my mind I figured I'd make just one that covers it all.
But here's one for you guys...
Do you guys avoid doing things on certain days when you know you have a big match later that night?
For example... I don't go on bike rides Tuesday's & Thursday's. Something about holding onto the grips, wearing my biking gloves, etc...
messes up my hands. Then I go to play darts and I can tell somethings off.
Another one is clipping my fingernails. Sounds weird, and you might have to Google this one, but several hours to a day after I clip my nails
they get super sensitive. I did it last night and now it bothers me to type. I'll be good to go tonight though.
Anyone out there have anything you avoid when it's dart night???
Please feel free to add whatever you want in here. Don't feel like starting a new thread??? Add it here. |

| No I don't avoid or make sure I do something before I play - other than avoid drinking TOO much! I am of the mindset it only matters if you think it matters. Does that make any sense? I see so many people think certain things is causing them to throw bad, especially their set up. I seen a guy just the other night change his soft tips to a different length because he couldn't hit 20s with those points!! That's crazy to me but that's what he had in his head so it mattered. I myself see very little difference in shaft lengths and flights. but alot think it matters. I may have got off topic some from your thread - sorry! With everything it only matters if you think it does! It's a mind game! |

I have 2 sets of "real" steel tip darts coming in the mail. Would be awesome if they showed up today. Anyway, one is 15 grams and the other is 14. We'll see what they really weigh on my scale though. I do much better with a light dart for some reason. When you have them in the trip 20 there is SO MUCH ROOM!!! Throw a couple 24 gram darts into the trip 20 and it's filled. These darts group so tight. It's unlike anything I've ever played with before. Plays with the mind as well. In a good way. If you "think" there is room in the trip 20 for another dart, most likely it will go in. |

Yes, what Mac said. Those points are for steel tip boards only. |

Totally thinner. I'll go take a staged pic of them in the triple 20 compared to other darts. BRB |

| Here's something neat. It's what different darts look like in the trip 20. All dart weights are TOTAL dart weight. Barrel, shaft, flight. 1st is a set or 14.6 gram [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]20 grams [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]24.5 grams [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]27.5 grams [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I agree with the statements about weight training. I try not to do anything too strenuous at all. No yard work, no working on the car. Maybe a walk or short jog, but no long runs, no swimming. Nothing that's going to make me sore or tired later. I have done so in the past and had trouble consistently keeping my form or maintaining full focus on the board. |

| I've searched Youtube up and down. Seems as though there are 3 people who have hit a deadeye on video. Phil, Eric, & John Lowe. I'm going to be the next. |
