| Rod Harrington has laid into the BDO after their actions on the weekend of the matchplay tournament.
A few words for the BDO... (taken from skysports site)
The BDO held a youth tournament in Blackpool on Sunday. Maybe they were trying to steal some of our thunder?
I'm disgusted to report that three guys who play on the PDC Youth Tour reached the quarter-finals - and were then slung out by the tournament organisers.
These young players had paid their entry fees, played in the early rounds and were then kicked out and told they're not getting a refund or any prize money, all because they're PDC players.
How disgusting is that? Grown men were taking things out on young players, who were probably not born when the split happened in the 1990s. It's one of the most pathetic things I've heard in my life.
Why don't they take it out on the grown-ups, who are ugly enough to stand up to them? Instead these ignorant BDO guys are taking things out on youth players.
I've seen some disgusting things happen in the game of darts, but this is the most disgusting thing I've heard about in all my years. |

| Well if thats what happened then it is a disgrace, and they should refund them if they have paid to enter the comp.
Only make them look bad by doing that anyway!

| Since Olly has been kicked of the members board I wonder why there hasn't been a more aggressive attempt for the PDC to buy the BDO??? |

too me its almost like a spoilt child when they aren't winning a game. Just throw the toys out of the pram and huff. Its almost like they are jealous of the talent some of these young PDC players have. |

| There is the BDO AGM this weekend and I believe this is being raised there.
Whether it was an oversealous official or not I don't know - it may even be an infringement of the PDPA rules, not the BDO rules that caused this to happen. Unless he knows the full story - which I am fairly certain he doesn't - then Harrington should keep his thoughts to himself until he does have all the facts.
Also, as far as I was aware it was two people that got pulled, not three - Sam Hill and Brandon Walsh |

| Nice Larry!
I agree though Mike it is easy for people to jump to conclusions, and unless we know the full facts we cant really judge.
But if its true it does not do the BDO any favours to act like that, at the same time if Harrington is representing the PDC he should also be cautious of what he says too. |

But Harrington knows that the facts don't really matter. The perception does. He knows his comments will get the attention and be remembered. Few people will bother with looking further into the incident and determining the 'truth' whatever it may me. His accusations can almost certainly not be substantiated by evidence, but he's planted the seed of mistrust and that's all that matters in this fight. |
