| i've been using these to check my progress . i was just drawing over a piece of paper held up to the dart board . unfortunately my eldest has thrown them all out. i got a new computer and scanner the other day so i thought i'd make some to print up. anyway here is a copy if anyone else wants to print some out . they are by no means perfect as i'm not the great on the computer but they serve a purpose . [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] still not great but they are getting closer [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| its a great idea Jamie, I bought some of the DK Practie pads which are basically the same thing. But easy to do your own really. Your grouping is very consistent there and its a great record to use for progress. Have a +1 mate! |

| I think maybe Jamie got it right when he said he used them to track progress, as I'm not so sure I'd want to use them all the time. Quite useful maybe for tracking if you tend one way or the other though between the 1s and 5s possibly?
Im not sure how well they'd work as a practice/learning too though, but you guys tend to know your stuff..
all said though, spot on for posting that up for us! Thumbs up from me too!! |

| thanks lads. I done another on with my other darts to compare. what's pretty cool is if you put the two images together as layers in photoshop or GIMP (despite the unfortunate name a fantastic FREE download) you can turn of and one of the layers. it isn't as noticable looking at them side by side but doing the layers thing I could see the group shrink. pretty cool. I tried to make a gif to show it but I have no idea what I'm doing so gave up! . I would have loved to of compared one of the ones I done about 10 weeks ago which is about 2 or 3 weeks after I started playing but as I said my eldest chucked it in the bin! |

| Nice work Jamie, I like the idea. You could put that up for say 20 walks, then do it another day and so forth.
Also if you do flight school you could use it to check your grouping after a few school sessions.
+1 from me mate. |

| Jamie, you could do another version with a picture of someone you despise around the treble 20 and see how much your accuracy improves then. Lol |

| This is a really cool idea, Jamie!
Another use for these could be to get an idea of your "spread pattern". Do you tend to miss more vertically, horizonally, or in some diagonal line such as low left to high right?
That could give you a little idea of which triples would be less risky to shoot at during cricket (as you may be more likely to miss into the single instead of adjacent segments on certain numbers) or what doubles you would tend to hit at a higher percentage given the shape of your spread pattern.
