Is there a time frame for a person to throw his darts? The game seems to move very fast. I ask because watching the Euro Championships it seems like as soon as one guy throws the next guy is at the oche practicing his stroke while the first guy is still down range retrieving his darts. Is it poor etiquette to turn around and say "Hey, I'm walking here"?

There is an area marked out where the person returning from retrieving his darts has to stay out of. As for the timing I know there is a rule for equipment i think it's three minutes?

In my league you have 3 min to throw your darts per round.

As far as I am aware there is no time limit to complete the throw in either the BDO or DRA (PDC) rule books, but the BDO has the 3 minute rule to fix your equipment (the DRA is up to the referee's discretion).

I think Mike is right, I dont think there is a defined limit which I think is strange really, I could throw 1 dart, wait a month and throw the next etc LOL!

I think the fast pace is good, especially for TV. I was just curious since in basketball on free throws the shooter has 10 seconds to shoot after the ref gives him the ball. Do they have the rule posted on the PDC or BDO sites?

2 minutes per dart is the rule I heard, but I havent checked in a while....if bothered by a player who takes a long time to throw.......bring on a chair and sit down while he throws!!!!! Or go for a walk around the room......and make sure he waits for you. I hate marking slow games!!!!
