Why is it we can always play well with new darts ? Some sets you can pick up and really believe your dreams have come true , youve found the set you were looking for , this week the Red Lion Next week the PDC ! Then after a week or so normal service is resumed lol

It's called the Law of Sod - I'm guessing the same will happen to me with the Winstanley's. Yesterday's practise was ok but nothing too special, but I'm going to persevere this week just to see.

Just maybe your overdoing the practice ?

I used to practice near 3 hrs a day then i remember going away for a week

so with no practice at all and coming back to Scotland here and when out following night
playing darts i was hitting everything big scores of 180 and 140s and such and finishes of over a ton-plus
So its not easy to say how form turns back off ..

It is just form has left you for now and shall return if you are practicing a lot then id say
take your foot of the gas a bit and cut the practice down ? worth a try and see what happens ..

Not sure if it's honeymoon or not with the Winstanley's but practise was only ok again today even though I hit another couple of 180's with them. Anyway I left it for a while and for the last hour or so have been using the tried and trusted Phase II's - the practise went really well and I hit another 3 180's. Anyway, will try with the Deano's again tomorrow as I really want them to work - maybe I'm just trying too hard to make them work.

Thats how it sounds Mike, but maybe give them a bit longer to be sure.

I reckon you concentrate more when you are throwing someone else's darts or in the case of new darts....you WANT them to be better too
