Got three sets in from haydenw yesterday - been messing about with them today and christened the Bulldog Aspide's - I actually hit another couple with these - lovely darts

I haven't christened the Andy Cornwall's yet, but I had a go at the 27 game with them and hit the following shot:

If you are wondering what 27 is, it's a variation of round the board on doubles and is another good practise game. Basically you start on 27 and then throw 3 darts at each double then move on to the next one. If you hit the D1 with 2 of the 3 darts then you score 4 points and add it on to the 27 to get 31. If you then miss the D2 with your next 3 darts then you deduct 4 from the score. ie whatever you score on doubles gets added, and if you miss you deduct the equivalent score.

I actually had another 4 or 5 where the first 2 went in and I wired the third dart - including the bullseye lol. It was my best round for a while.

I had a blast of a practice session yesterday.

With a total of ten 180's, five 120+ chekouts including a 170 and a few sub 15 darters.

Also got a 180 on my knees, quite extraordinary.

I'm starting to feel my old game is returning.

This was 4 round into a match I was having against my Bosnian friend.

He ended up winning this one with a 6.29 mpr average over 11 rounds.

Hit this when I first started playing again. For those not familiar with the game...

Shoot at 12's, 13, 14.

Then any doubles

Followed by 15, 16, 17.

Followed by any triples

18, 19, 20's

Single bulls

Double bulls.

If you miss on ANY round your score gets cut in 1/2.

As you can see I only hit a 2 mark on my last round and

a 3 mark with single bulls the round before and still managed a 6.17.

Been playing for a couple months now and have got a lot better

but still can't beat that score.

Sorry guys. Hate to pollute up this thread with soft tip stuff. I'm a steel tip guy at heart, but it's all that's available when I go out.

Tonight the owner of the Bosnian place I go to punched in "Hammer" Cricket instead of regular cricket.

This is how it works... so I found out... 1st time playing it.

8 rounds.

Shoot at 20's first.

1st dart is worth single value. Hit a 20 get 20. Hit a triple get 60.

2nd dart is worth X2

3rd dart is worth X3... a trip 20 would net you 180 points on the last dart only.

Got it?

Next shoot at 19's
Then 18's.

Next is a wild number- anything from 13 on up. Computer picks

Then shoot at

17's
16's
15's

then one last wild where the value is X1, X3 and a X5 for the last dart.


Anyway... I really lit one off one this game. Totally in the zone.

When it was over I averaged 7.38 marks per round. Out of the 8 rounds I had 5 nine marks.

4 of which were on the trot, the last 4 rounds of the game.

Had a laugh at the point per round average. 277.1

Okay. Back to the stuff ya like.

After a great night out of playing plastic I had to see if i could keep it going.

Really playing well at the moment. Put in a solid 1/2 hour of focused play and had 3 180's.

Shot a couple 11's and in one of those games was 5 treble 20's on the trot.

Won't really be taking pics much anymore as it gets me out of rhythm.

Going to have to take stills from a video, or post the video itself.

Winmau that is one thing about the soft tip machines is the variety of games is great, they should make similar machines but with steel tip boards.

Lucky weekend. July 29, 2012. Another 180, #9 for the year, #10 all-time. The Target Silica Apollo is back as my primary dart again. Phase 6 will be my secondary dart. I like how the Phase 6 flies, but the Apollos have hit the most 180s for me.

Lost in the singles final at the NY State Championships (soft tip)

Won a steel tip singles in Syracuse.
