You're not wrong there rebel, in that video he was smiling whilst throwing his dart, you never see that from Barney anymore.

Yep blame Taylor. That video was from his old BDO days when he used to be number one whereas even he is struggling over on the PDC side of the divide - although he is showing signs of his old self so far this year.

Agreed he is not the same as he was, and it is probably as much a mental thing than anything else. What the answer is I dont know.

To be fair though he had a lot of problems behind the scenes which people never knew about at the time, someone was threatening to kidnap his kids etc which cant have helped, then he got diabetes so that was another load of turmoil for him to handle. I think he may be getting the hang of managing the diabetes now but he is still not the same as he was.

I also think he put more pressure on himself to be as good as Taylor, and I think he got to wrapped up in that way of thinking when he should have just played his own way and forget
Taylor.

Completely agree with you there grip, taylor has played a huge part of barneys decline, mentally more than anything. But then thats always been taylors main weapon, people tend to forget that he's human aswell and makes mistakes. Hopefully after seeing him crushed by Thornton people will begin to realise that.
But yes Barney has had many many things to deal with over the past few years.

I like RVB but he started changing darts like the Gripster and that really hurt his game IMO
