Hiya Guys. I am planning on buying these one of these two darts. I need your help on what's the difference between the two darts other than their weights and color. I'm concerning also the grip if there's a difference between them.

Unicorn Phil Taylor Hero Black 23g

Unicorn Purist Gold 24g

Your replies are most welcome. Thank you in advance.

well just looking at the pics the grip looks the same on both sets to me?

I would go for the gold ones though, the black coating wears quicker I think. Very Happy

Wouldn't buy the Hero black to be honest, from memory they are vastly overpriced and fly no different to the purist gold. The grip pattern is the same as it is your standard unicorn hero grip, but on the purist it goes back further on the barrel.

Also like grip said, the black will look terrible after a very short period of time!

Go for the gold purist they are a great dart. Worth a look on eBay too, I picked a set up for a tenner a few months ago!

Go for purist, there is a longer grip then on the heros Smile

But look for a set on e-bay, they are pretty overlypriced Smile Just like all other Unicorn products Smile

Winmau and Target for the win Very Happy

Don't McCoy do a very similar dart to the purist for a lot cheaper too, these ones:

They come in Natural, Black and Gold finishes too.

Might be worth getting a set of them first and see how you get on before spending too much on the overpriced unicorns. Though I think the purist can be got Barrells only for around £20.

Nice find mate! Lefty544 has a set of these and I must say they are great darts. I've thrown em several times and love them

Cheers, they do look nice and the fact they come in different weights to the 24g Purist makes them a good alternative. Heard good things about McCoys too, SilverSaber loves the Sabers anyway! Smile
