no bones about it, i think he is the most gifted player i've seen but his attitude is repulsive. his post match interviews only confirm the assumptions i gather while watching him play-that the last three letters of his nickname should be changed. its obvious he's never had his arse handed to him due to the lack of humility and im confident his stay at the top will be shortlived.

I love him, maybe because reminds me a little of myself (except for the skill). That and he gets under peoples skin which I may surpass him in that category

I am just not sure about Lewis these days, he has seemed to get a little worse in his attitude but i don't know if he is trying some kind of mind tricks to bull himself up or whatever.

I always enjoy watching him, but I think something is not quite right with his personality, before he could be easily forgiven because he was young but he should know better now.

I am sure away from the darts he is a nice guy though, I think he may be just a little misguided and over doing the cockiness thing.

i think he takes his own talent for granted which adds to it for me- not sure why ive brought it up -im watching the replay of the euro semi's against barney. Lewis throws marvelous darts but he is lazy-in the matches i've seen he starts great, quits, then decides to finish. I could cheer for the guy but i wanna

-just and tellem "stop fehkin around and get on with it" i will give him the benefit of being young and without the tatste for crow.

To be honest I don't think he is playing with a full deck, I think he is a great player, awesome in fact but I think there is something lacking in the IQ department.
I actually really like the lad but can see why some people are put off by his attitude but I honestly believe his laid back persona is not all down to arrogance or cockiness, just my opinion.

I've not watched him enough to know but has anyone ever jumped out 3 or 4 games ahead of him and how does he handle the comback when he is down?

i think phil will be winning for a long time. to me taylor is a student of the game and lewis is just very good- how old is phil btw?

Phil is nearly 52.

I dont mind any of the players been cocky really, I think that is part of the game for some players, Lewis has achieved a great deal for a young guy so remains to be seen really how he develops.

I have to disagree with some off you guys on how many world titles Lewis will win. He is probably the most naturally talented player in the world, already a 2 time world champ at just 27. He isn`t the most loveable crater that has graced the oche but his darts do the talking when it matters. His confidence has increased 10 fold especially after retaining the world title and that can be construed as arrogance but i fully believe he will surpass Bristow and Barneys total of 5. 10 is a big target but given his power scoring ability over most of the other pros it wouldn`t surprise if he was close to 10. Lets not forget all being well he has 30 more years at the top.

i think he'll win one or 2 more, then his girly is gonna catch him cheatin on her. after that he will wreck his benz while the ex throws darts at him. then he'll get all washed up and spend the next 10 yrs struggling at the county level. lmao=sound familiar

i just dont think he has the discipline to dominate for an extended period even though he has the skill to easily outperform the rest of the competition. I dont even think we've seen his best darts yet!

Aye fair dues on that, he does have a body that screams out diabetes. He`s not shy of the burger van anyway.

It's funny as rumandcork an I are watching the Euro replay at the same. I knew exactly what he was talking about as soon as I saw the topic title. His post-match interview was a bit smug. I think he shows some arrogance to prop up his confidence and I think he genuinely feels he doesn't get his due reverence for being a 2-time WC. I agree with the earlier observation that he's not the brightest bulb in the room. He's usually jocular and laid back; I kinda like that about him. Specifically in that semi with RVB, he threw a dart and noticed one of RVB's points had stayed in the board. He walked up, pulled it out, gave it back to RVB, had a chuckle, shrugged his shoulders, and then threw 2 treble 20s. That about sums him up.

I hope Lewis takes heed of any health advice to be honest, his weight is not good for such a young guy, he really does need to do something about that and quick.

I think he has such a natural gift that he has a very good chance of winning a few more titles yet, not sure he will get to 10 but thats only because I think the competition will get increasingly better.
