We played a team last night called the Easy Riders. Bunch of swell guys who ride motorcycles to their matches. One of the guys (Denis) a hell of a nice guy but will test ya patience when throwing. Heres Denis throw , he walks to the oche and stares at the board for 15-20 seconds. Then gets ready to throw first dart another 10-15 seconds then lets fly. Then starts all over with the stare thing. You have 3 min to throw and Denis uses most of the time. Hes very difficult to play because you can get no rhythm going at all. Some times he will step off the line have a sip of what ever hes drinking and starts the stare routine over. Now he doesn't go over the time limit but he sure uses it and its all legal. I heard at one match his two single games took about an hour to play. Denis will test ya patience for sure but all within the rules mind you. Anyone play against someone like Denis?
BTW I did beat him. Normally at home between 10-10:30. Last nite after midnight.

if i knew i had a match against him i'd have beans and eggs for lunch and just before i threw my third dart i would fart just to toture him to play faster. have no mercy :swordsmen:

well hes a good guy but hard to play for sure

if he's really a good guy i might would spare the eggs

It could be that he uses that as his way to get in your head. I hear Bristow used to ask people questions like whether or not they held their breath before they threw just to throw them off their rhythm.

I fear I may be that guy too. I don't intentionally take a long time but I don't just walk up to the line and throw three darts real quick either. So, there are definitely variant breaks between your throws when playing against me

I know the guy Larry is talking about. No way he's using Jedi mindtricks. He's.....just.....real.....deliberate.....My team plays his next week. I'll take Bo's advice with me. There are two guys on a team who deliberately play the stall game. They always have to go the bathroom and then get a drink before game and then want to warm up. You'll wait 15 minutes to play them. I remember Larry using the Bristow method on me a couple times!

I know last year at your place you did. The time before at the Endzone a couple years ago, I can't remember, but probably.
