My Practice Routine Empty
PostSubject: My Practice Routine   My Practice Routine EmptySat Jan 14, 2012 12:33 am

This is a practice routine i picked up from my father who was very good by the way ! Anyway we all play 501 but try playing it for 1 game on 19s leave the 20s alone , Another day 18s and so on down to and including 16s , Doing this will help sharpen up both accuracy and mental confidence in hitting those trebles for the out shots !!

I find it useful , as i said earlier it gets you practising those other high value trebles ! He also used to play 301 only doubles count allowing 0nly 1 dart to take the odd number off! Sharpens up the doubles as you couldnt go for the same double all the time if you for instance hit tops with your first darts you couldnt go back there for 9 darts , Sounds complicated but its not really , honest ! Alongside flight school i will now be incorporating these into my practice routines . Well to be honest my practice routine will be flight school and the above routines , I plan to devote much more time to practice , Im looking at about 4hrs a day starting tomorrow as i gotta get in better shape for the summer league !!

Yeah there are may variations on the theme , The main thing is to vary the targets so you practice on the whole board rather than just banging away at the 20s with the odd double thrown in
