Can anyone date this dart set for me Empty
PostSubject: Can anyone date this dart set for me   Can anyone date this dart set for me EmptyWed Jan 30, 2013 9:39 am

I picked up this set from a local antique shop near me for $5.00. The brown (leather, I believe) has "Winmau tungsten darts" on the bottom front it shows a knight on a horse with a banner with Winmau on it.
The Back states "Made in England"

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Hello mate and welcome to the forum, have you got a better pic?

They look like brass in that pic, so the case may not be original to the darts.

But looking at the case I would have guessed late 70's early 80's.

Is the thread on the stems the 2ba used today or is it the thicker quarter threads, as I think companies tended to start producing darts with the 2ba thread in the early eighties.

Agree with the lads, they look like a cheap 'n' cheerful set of 80's darts that you'd get free with a dart board.
