I started playing darts when I was 17 after watching my parents play. When I started playing the oche was 8ft and seemed so far away. We migrated to Australia in the 70s and have been playing here ever since and I have a daughter who plays when she can

Welcome to the forum. hi ya

Did you find the info you were looking on Fordham? The last I heard he had a terrible time of it. He was back up to 24 stone after doing so well losing weight. Then he broke his leg. Then he fell and hurt his knee and it got infected and I believe his daughter was ill as was he father. Luck is not on his side.

Wow you must be old then! LOL just kidding and warm welcome to the forum so happy to have you join.

Back in the early to mid 70's there was still a lot of varying oche lengths through the UK, some were as small as 6 foot and some as you say were 8 foot, but before that they even threw from 9 foot!

Welcome aboard! welcome
