I couldnt resist any longer.

Bought myself some Hankey's from a team mate for $40.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Had a throw for an hour with them last night after league. They are a really nice dart considering they are the lightest and skinniest dart I have ever thrown.

Nice Jimbo!!! So what was your impression with them after an hour? Curious to hear what you think of the grip. How was the grouping?

Do tell....

The grip is fantastic.

My grouping was all over the place because I didnt throw well in league last night.

When Im throwing a little better, I will get a better idea, but first impressions are that these really are a nice dart to throw.

I threw at this weeks challenge with them for that hour and managed a 26 with them. Pretty happy with that considering the way I threw last night.

i love my hankeys , i have improved so much more since using them . i do think that i would be better if they had a sixteen or seventeen gram version though after trying out some eighteen gram darts this week

My darts that I usually use are an 18g barrell and I have loved darts in the 15-18g range for years now.

But the Hankey's are something else. They dont really feel that light. I threw some of my old darts the other day and had trouble getting above the triple 20, but these were just going where my arm sent them.

That's the thing I don't understand with the company Winmau is why they don't produce an 18g version Hankey. Ted shoots with a 14g so they should of just made a small run of those. Than mass produce the 18's on up.
It's a great dart but the jump from 14 to 22g makes no sense. No

That 8g makes a big difference to the dart.

i'm thinking about getting custom made ones. i got 18g darts and i'm gonna try some 17g , 16g and 15g soon to see what i'm more comfortable with . i think a hybrd of dennis priestley and ted hankey darts would be amazing ! smooth grip front loaded with the bulb at the end of the priestleys then the hankey nose and storm point .

Not a bad design thought there Jamie. I was offered a set of gold Priestly's last night as well, wasnt thinking when I said no. I will see if he still has them next season cos I think they were 15g ones.

They look slick, but they are pretty grippy. As grippy as any darts I have played with before.

Spin, spin, spin, round, round, round. Another nice triple 20 by Taylor.

haha this reminds me of working at red bull F1 on their roof . we got called in because there was a leak above their multi million pound simulator. the guy wasn't happy when i said "can't see anything wrong on the roof , are you sure it isn't simulating driving in the wet? "

I've always forgot to mention this concerning these darts. But you don't have to go for a cover shot as much with the 14g Hankey's. Your mind might tell you to go for a cover shot if you already have 2 in the trip 20 and you think you're blocked. But throw right at the target again. It's amazing how these darts have the ability to sneak past the other 2 darts already in the board. Even more so with the Target Storm points on them. I've had some shots were the target was completely blocked but I threw right at the other 2 darts and somehow found the triple without even touching the other 2 already in the board.
So when you practice again, keep that in mind. Where you normally might go for a cover with your darts, you don't have to with these. Smooth and small they find their way in.
