Where in TX are you from Mike? I have a friend thats looking to move out there he's originally from OK but has lived in the uk for about 5 years and now wants to go back. Also I'm unfortunately a Cowboys fan.
Bron in and currently live in Dallas. Wasted most of my youth in San Antonio though.
Dallas/Ft. Worth is an exceptional place to live, and I'm not just biased because I was born here. Low cost of living and taxes, high average incomes, one of just about everything that's fun to do, the most amazing food on the planet, friendly people.
Really the only downsides (from my perspective) we spend our summers in hell, the political system is run mainly by people who wish it was still the 14th century and if you want to get anywhere from anywhere, you'd better own a car. Everything is spread out here. Like WAY out.
But I do love it here in the spring/fall.
Have your friend head this way. The water's fine and we could use more serious dart players in the area.
