hi thanks for the warm welcome! i have just took up darts about 3 weeks ago and enjoying it. i have played a few times before in the past in my old local.but that was about 12 years ago so i'm quite rusty! i've been enjoying looking through all the threads on here today. vey informative !

thank you all !!! i do have one question at the moment , i've had a search through past posts and couldn't find the answer. i was wondering what sort of 3 dart averages you would need to be getting to play in a local darts team . as i'm new to this i was thinking it would be good to have a target to move towards. i've been using an android app on my phone to record scores to mark my progress at the moment my 3dart average is 31 .

well we all have differing abilities, some can quickly get very good and be hitting high averages in no time, but I think the average pub player is around the 60 avg.

cheers for the info , gives me something to work towards . getting a bit boring playing against my phone ! and nobody else i know is interested in darts. just moved to this area so i'll have to check to the locals to see which ones even have a dart board.

Where do you live? it says glasgow on your profile have you moved there or somewhere else?

Maybe there is someone from here who may live near you and can give you a game?

You can also try joining Georges Flight School then entering our king of the Hill league which is going to start soon I hope.

yeah glasgow i've been down in london since 2000 and just moved back to scotland though i don't think i'll be hanging around here for too much longer. probaly move back down soon as i have kids there. thanks for the link i'll check that out.
