Morning all !

Finally got around to taking photos of some of my collection.

These darts are probably the finest I have in my collection, they are pristine condition (never thrown and not a mark on them).

They are solid silver (very heavy), original unicorn box and flights.

According to 'Keith Naylors collecting advice page on ebay', these were given out to special players in the News of the World competition during the 30's or 40's and then silver plated darts were later given out.

They're some very nice looking darts mate. Lovely presentation case aswell.

Thanks, they are without a doubt the finest set I own, I do see similar sets now and again but they are normally battered to bits from being played with !
Would personally never throw these (not even once!, knowing my luck I would mark them or break one!!)

I have seen a few sets on Ebay but always lost out on the bids, they often sell quite high, think they are probably the best condition I have seen though!

Yes I did, you may not believe it, but I got them very cheap (IMO).

For some mad reason the person hadn't mention that they were Silver ... or Darts in the description and instead listed the item as a "Presentation box" (then when you clicked on it and looked at the proper listing they mentioned the box contained silver darts) ..... God knows how on earth I stumbled across it, was purely by chance (think I was looking for a box for my wifes jewelery or something).
I was the only bidder of £50 !

Wow! that was very lucky then, a very good find I think!
