i've just heard that gary anderson has chinned kevin painter.....anyone else heard this rumour?

yep apparently it has definately happened over in germany in the european championships and to think there was me last weekend having a few beers with gary during a darts competition and i can honestly say painter must have really wound gary up for him to resort to punching him.

kim huybrechts manager/sponser is one of my friends and he sent me a text to confirm it happened.....saying that though kevin painter can be a right pain in the neck at times so i suppose what ever it was he done he must have deserved it....big fine on the way now and the possibility of being banned like andy jenkins was for a year when he punched terry jenkins about 3 years ago.

gary anderson has been booted out of the competition, he was due to play michael barnard but they've said he has had to pull out due to medical reasons.

UPDATE: Not sure what happened in the game between Gary Anderson and Michael Barnard, but Gary had to withdraw for medical reasons. The European PDC website seems to be saying something about Gary’s eyes, but they aren’t sure.

I agree - something like that is too big for it not to have been all over twitter.

DB&C says that he withdrew after playing a leg - if he was booted out of the competition he wouldn't have been allowed to play even that 1 leg.

maybe he hurt his hand and jarred his wrist lol!! ....................................

Maybe the medical reason was a swollen eye
