Well, another great weekly challenge last week with Hatrick taking the honors again, well done sir good job

As Hat has picked the last 2 he has suggested someone else pick this weeks challenge, so as I had a good one in mind (and finished bottom last week rolling eyes

) I will pick this weeks (hope no-one minds Smile

).

Some of you may have heard of it, 'Bob's 29', developed by Bob Anderson in 1991, the rules are:

Start the game with 29 points.
First 3 darts are thrown at double 1, any darts hitting double 1 are added to the score (2 doubles, add 4 points totaling 33).
If all 3 miss, then the value of said double is removed, leaving 27 points.
The procedure is repeated on double 2, double 3 and so on with the game ending on the centre bull.

Now as I found when having a go at this, you can run out of points pretty quickly, if so, start again.

So the challenge, lets see who gets the highest score after all the doubles and the center bull - or in my case, lets see who gets to the highest number before going below zero.

That's right mac, every D4, add 8, for every Bullseye (center) its 50pts.

Yeah Bigshow, I think it has been misinterpreted along the lines, but I went off this from John Lowe:

Could be either 27 or 29 I guess, but we will stick with 29 to avoid confusion.

Think I scored this right, got 323 with double bull and double 2o hurting me. And d18 helping big. Got a little edgy in beginning but 2xd3 kept me going

once you get past five its easy because all ya need is one dart every other number to stay alive

435 for me today thank god I had 2 bulls at the end.. Thats a very, very good score mac a lot of people can't even make it all the way around the board without getting down to 0!!! Keep it up and take it even higher.. happy dude

Its tougher than I thought, I have got round several times in the past but struggling to get past 7 or 8 at the moment.

Finally got round, 1st attempt after tea (maybe 7 or 8 attempts last night), not the best score but one to build on:

93

It does seem to get easier once you get over 10, you just have to hit at least 1 double every 6 darts to stay alive.

Only had time to try a couple of times this weekend. Made it up to 12 from 10. Those points disappear fast! The one thing I do see improving is my grouping. While I'm falling on either side of the double, my darts are no more than an inch a part two thirds of the time...
