The only time I have ever done anything to my points is to scuff them up or remove a hooked point.

I never sharpen my darts.....having said that I just put some new gripper points on them.

Some say darts dont really need sharpening due to constantly being thrown at the board but i suppose if you keep banging wires etc they may need a little work but as above ive never sharpened a point just roughed them up a little .

Yep andy.......the gripper points are just a more aggressive version of roughing the points up.
